Mohammad Hassanzadeh joins Gorgan

Shahrdari Gorgan (Superleague) agreed terms with experienced 35-year old ex-international power forward Mohammad Hassanzadeh (203cm-101kg-1990) for new 2025-26 season. Hassanzadeh played most recently at Naft Abadan.
He played in the final of Iranian Superleague in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Hassanzadeh was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Iranian Superleague Honorable Mention back in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Zob Ahan where in 10 West Asia Super League games he had 5.0ppg and 3.3rpg in that year.
He was also a member of Iranian international program for some years. Hassanzadeh played for Iranian Senior National Team between 2010 and 2023 and previously for U19 National Team back in 2009.
He represented Iran at the Olympic Games in Tokyo (Japan) four years ago. His stats at that event were 2 games: 4.0ppg, 2.0rpg, 1.0spg.
Hassanzadeh has spent his entire career in Iran playing for six other teams: Saba, Petrochimi, Azad, Mahram, Kashan and Foolad Mahan. He played in the final of Iranian Superleague in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Hassanzadeh was selected to Asia-Basket.com All-Iranian Superleague Honorable Mention back in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
