Iran - Guam 77-52

Iran defeated Guam 77-52 in their Group B opener at the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 at King Abdullah Sports City. They grabbed a 23-10 run in the first period and allowed the opponents to score another 10 points in the second frame. Guam meanwhile replied with a 21-11 rally in the third quarter, whilst Iran closed the game with a final 25-11 surge.
Matin Aghajanpour (198-PF-2001) scored 19 points for the Persians, while Tai Wesley (201-F-1986, college: Utah St.) led Guam with 18 points.
Iran will face Japan on Friday, while Guam meet Syria.
