Superleague Round 22 (Regular Season): Tabiat lose to Ishafan

Round in Superleague means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in where host Ishafan (11-9) beat league's leader Tabiat (16-4) 76-68 on Monday evening. Newly promoted Ishafan maintains fifth position with 11-9 record, which they share with Alborz. Defending champion Tabiat dropped to the second place with four games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Kalleh.
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Kalleh as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kalleh edged 4th ranked Gorgan in Amol 76-73. Kalleh (17-4) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Gorgan at the other side keeps the fourth place with seven games lost.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Tehran. Local Ayandeh Sazan (4-17) was outscored by third ranked Naft Abadan (16-5) 93-71 on Monday night. Naft Abadan maintains third position with 16-5 record behind leader Kalleh. Ayandeh Sazan lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth place with 17 games lost.

In the last two games of round 22 Zob Ahan was defeated by Alborz in a road game 76-68. Mahshahr was beaten by Shahrod at home 66-76.



Ayandeh Sazan - Naft Abadan 71-93

The game with biggest result difference took place in Tehran. Local Ayandeh Sazan (4-17) was outscored by third ranked Naft Abadan (16-5) 93-71 on Monday night. Naft Abadan maintains third position with 16-5 record behind leader Kalleh. Ayandeh Sazan lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth place with 17 games lost.

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Shahrod's (10-11) road victory over 9th ranked Mahshahr (4-15) 76-66 on Monday. Shahrod have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place. Mahshahr at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the ninth position with 15 games lost.
