Superleague Round 21 (Regular Season): Tabiat keep a leadership position

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Tabiat as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Tabiat smashed 12th ranked Raad at home 96-61. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Raad lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 18 games lost. There is only one round left in the Regular Season. Foolad trying to get back on the winning streak. Tabiat will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Ishafan on the road.
The game in was also worth to mention about. 6th ranked Alborz (10-9) played at the court of eighth ranked Shahrod (9-11). Shahrod managed to secure a 9-point victory 87-78. Shahrod have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Shahrod maintains eighth place with 9-11 record. Alborz at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. They share it with Ishafan. Shahrod will play against Mahshahr (#9) on the road in the next round. Alborz will play against Zob Ahan (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Esfahan supposed to be also quite interesting. 5th ranked Ishafan (10-9) played at the court of seventh ranked Zob Ahan (9-10). Zob Ahan smashed Ishafan 80-55 on Thursday. Zob Ahan maintains seventh place with 9-10 record. Newly promoted Ishafan keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. They share it with Alborz. Zob Ahan will meet higher ranked Alborz (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ishafan will play against the league's leader Tabiat where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.

In the last two games of round 21 Mahshahr was destroyed by Naft Abadan on the opponent's court 100-61. Gorgan managed to outperform Ayandeh Sazan in a home game 76-58.



Naft Abadan - Mahshahr 100-61

Very expected game when 9th ranked Mahshahr (4-14) was crushed on the road by third ranked Naft Abadan (15-5) 100-61 on Thursday. Naft Abadan maintains third place with 15-5 record behind leader Tabiat. Newly promoted Mahshahr keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost. Naft Abadan will meet Ayandeh Sazan (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mahshahr will play against Shahrod and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
