Superleague Round 15 (Regular Season): No surprise as #1 Tabiat defeats Shahrod

Superleague top team - Tabiat (13-0) had no problems winning another game on Thursday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Shahrod (6-9) 102-61. Undefeated Tabiat have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-0 record. Newly promoted Shahrod keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. Tabiat are looking forward to face Zob Ahan (#7) in Esfahan in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Shahrod will play at home against Foolad and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Gorgan (10-4) played at the court of 5th ranked Ishafan (8-5). Gorgan defeated Ishafan 80-66. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Ishafan. Gorgan maintains third place with 10-4 record having just two points less than leader Tabiat, which they share with Naft Abadan. Newly promoted Ishafan keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Gorgan will play against Naft Abadan (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Ishafan will play against Ayandeh Sazan in Tehran and hopes to get back on the winning track.

However their fans expected much easier game. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Zob Ahan. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Alborz. Raad lost their eighth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Zob Ahan will meet at home league's leader Tabiat in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Raad will play against Alborz (#6) and hope to secure a win.

In the last two games of round 15 Alborz lost to Kalleh on the opponent's court 87-92. Ayandeh Sazan managed to outperform Mahshahr in a home game 87-80.



Raad - Zob Ahan 75-77

Newly promoted Kalleh maintains second place with 11-4 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Tabiat. Alborz at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with Zob Ahan. Kalleh will meet Mahshahr (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Alborz will play against Raad (#12) and hope to secure a win.

Ayandeh Sazan - Mahshahr 87-80

There was a small surprise in Tehran where eleventh ranked Ayandeh Sazan (3-12) defeated 9th ranked Mahshahr (3-10) 87-80 on Thursday. Newly promoted Ayandeh Sazan maintains eleventh place with 3-12 record. Mahshahr lost their seventh game in a row. Mahshahr at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. Ayandeh Sazan will meet at home higher ranked Ishafan (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mahshahr will play against the league's second-placed Kalleh (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
