Superleague Round 13 (Regular Season): Gorgan lose to Tabiat in the game between Top 4 teams

Leader host Tabiat (11-0) defeated 3rd placed Gorgan (9-4) 92-80. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Gorgan. Undefeated Tabiat have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 11-0 record. Gorgan at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Tabiat are looking forward to face Naft Abadan (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Gorgan will play against Foolad and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
12th ranked Raad (2-11) was outscored at home by fourth ranked Naft Abadan (10-3) with the biggest margin this round 88-65. Naft Abadan moved-up to second place, which they share with Kalleh. Raad lost their sixth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. They share it with Ayandeh Sazan. Naft Abadan will play against league's leader Tabiat in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Raad will play against Shahrod (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 13: Zob Ahan won against Ayandeh Sazan on the opponent's court 83-76. Mahshahr unfortunately lost to Alborz in a home game 82-86. Shahrod recorded a loss to Kalleh on the road 84-100.

They moved-up to seventh place. Newly promoted Ayandeh Sazan keeps the eleventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Raad. Zob Ahan will play against league's second-placed Kalleh in Amol in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ayandeh Sazan will play on the road against Alborz (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Mahshahr - Alborz 82-86

Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Alborz (6-6) defeated on the road 9th ranked Mahshahr (3-8) 86-82. Newly promoted Alborz maintains sixth place with 6-6 record. Mahshahr lost their fifth game in a row. Mahshahr at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with Foolad. Alborz will play against Ayandeh Sazan (#11) in Tehran in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Mahshahr will play against Ishafan and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Kalleh - Shahrod 100-84

Not a big story in a game in Amol where 7th ranked Shahrod (5-8) was defeated by second ranked Kalleh (10-3) 100-84. Newly promoted Kalleh maintains second place with 10-3 record behind leader Tabiat, which they share with Naft Abadan. Shahrod at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. Kalleh will play against Zob Ahan (#7) in Esfahan in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Shahrod will play at home against Raad and hopes to get back on the winning track.
