Beirut Club adds Pelle to their roster

Norvel Pelle

Beirut Club (LBL) added to their roster 31-year old Lebanese-American international power forward Norvel Pelle (208cm-105kg-1993, college: Iona, agency: BIG). The last season season he played at Shahrdari Gorgan in Iranian Superleague where in 18 games he recorded 10.3ppg, 7.8rpg, 1.1spg and 1.9bpg. Quite impressive season as he was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Iranian Superleague Center of the Year and selected to Asia-Basket.com All-Iranian Superleague First Team. He also played 6 games in West Asia Super League where he averaged 12.7ppg, 8.5rpg and 2.2bpg.
In 2013 he was drafted by Delaware 87ers (D-League) in first round (6th overall).
The former Iona College standout is in his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.
Pelle has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016. He has been regularly called to the Lebanese Senior National Team since 2017.
Pelle is quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America) in seven different countries. He has played previously professionally in Iran, Italy (Openjobmetis Varese and Torino), Taiwan (Dacin Tigers), NBA (Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, Utah Jazz, Brooklyn Nets and NY Knicks), NBA G League (Indiana Mad Ants, Cleveland Charge, Delaware Blue Coats and Capitanes de Ciudad de Mexico) and NBA Summer League (Philadelphia 76ers). Pelle's team made it to the West Asia Super League Final 8 Semifinals in 2024.
