Johnny Hamilton (ex Beirut Club) signs at Gorgan

Defending champion Shahrdari Gorgan (Superleague) signed 30-year-old Trinidad and Tobago 213cm center Johnny Hamilton (college: UT Arlington) for the new season. He last played for Beirut Club in the Lebanese LBL league, averaging 8.4ppg, 6.4rpg, and 2.4bpg in 5 games. Hamilton has also played for Carpegna Prosciutto Basket Pesaro (Serie A) in the Italian league and Bursaspor (BSL) in the Turkish league. In 25 games in the Turkish BSL, he averaged 10.8ppg, 6.8rpg, 1.0apg, and 1.6bpg.
He is a very experienced player. Hamilton has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to nine different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Italy, Japan (Niigata Albirex), Lebanon, Montenegro (Mornar), Turkey (Darussafaka Lassa, Fenerbahce, Afyon and Merkezefendi), NBA (Atlanta Hawks), NBA G League (College Park SkyHawks and Grand Rapids Gold), NBA Summer League (Milwaukee Bucks) and PBL (Just Hoops). His team was regular season runner-up in Lebanese League in 2024.
Among many awards, he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-EuroCup Honorable Mention back in 2020.
Hamilton graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2018, and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball. He played for other colleges such as Virginia Tech University and Jacksonville College.
