Iranian Superleague round 20 best performance: Sina Vahedi

International Point guard Sina Vahedi (185-PG-2001) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Shahrdari Gorgan, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 22-year old player was the main contributor (42 points and two assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Foolad (#11, 4-16) 96-89. It allowed Gorgan to consolidate first place in the Iranian Superleague. Gorgan has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 18-2. In the team's last game Vahedi had a remarkable 83.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Gorgan's top player in his first season with the team. Sina Vahedi has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (9th best: 19.7ppg) and averages impressive 2.2spg,69.9% FGP and 48.9% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young international center Hamed Haddadi (218-C-1985, agency: BIG) of Palayesh Naft Abadan. Haddadi had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 24 rebounds. Bad luck as Naft Abadan lost that game 68-73 to slightly higher-ranked Mahram (#4, 13-7). This loss caused Naft Abadan to drop to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 12-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Haddadi is a newcomer at Naft Abadan, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard J'Von McCormick (183-PG-1997) of Foolad Hormozgan Bandar Abbass (#11). McCormick got into 30-points club by scoring 40 points in the last round. He went also for six assists. Despite McCormick's great performance the Foolad lost 89-96 to the higher-ranked Gorgan (#1, 18-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. McCormick has a very solid season. In 6 games in Iran he scored 23.8ppg. He also has 3.7apg and a FGP of 59.0%.
