Vahedi's 28 points and 5 assists give him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

22-year old point guard Sina Vahedi (185-PG-2001) had a great game in the last round for league's best team Shahrdari Gorgan and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 19.
He had the game-high 28 points adding five rebounds and five assists for Gorgan in his team's victory, helping them to beat Rafsanjan (#10, 5-13) 82-74. It allowed Gorgan to consolidate first place in the Iranian league. Gorgan have a solid 17-2 record. In the team's last game Vahedi had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Gorgan's top player in his first season with the team. Sina Vahedi averages this season 18.5ppg.

Second best performed player last round was J'Von McCormick (183-PG-1997) of Foolad Hormozgan Bandar Abbass. He is American guard in his first season at Foolad. In the last game McCormick recorded an impressive 33 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course Foolad cruised to a 90-80 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Limondis (#9, 6-13). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Foolad keeps 11th position. 15 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Foolad managed to get this year. McCormick is a newcomer at Foolad and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Fran Pilepic (194-G/F-1989) of Sanaat Mes Rafsanjan (#10). Pilepic got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds and four assists. Despite Pilepic's great performance the Rafsanjan lost 74-82 to the higher-ranked Gorgan (#1, 17-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Rafsanjan can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 5-13 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Pilepic has individually a great season in Iran. After 17 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.9ppg (8th best).
