Best players of Iranian Superleague round 15

Parrish Petty

Experienced American-Guinea-Bissau Parrish Petty (185-PG-1988) had a very impressive game in the last round for Mahram Tehran and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 35-year old playmaker had the game-high 36 points adding seven rebounds and four assists for Mahram in his team's victory, helping them to beat Limondis (#10, 4-11) 106-91. Mahram is placed at 3rd position in Iranian Superleague. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Mahram will need more victories to improve their 10-5 record. In the team's last game Petty had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 10 attempts. He turned to be Mahram's top player in his first season with the team. University of Texas Rio Grande Valley graduate has very impressive stats this year. Petty is in league's top in points (4th best: 23.9ppg), assists (8th best: 4.0apg) and averages solid 2.1spg and 42.1% from behind 3-point line. Worth to mention Petty played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Mahram's star - young international Mohammad Jamshidi (199-SF-1991, agency: BIG). Jamshidi impressed basketball fans with 29 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course together with Petty he helped Mahram Tehran with another comfortable win 106-91 over the lower-ranked Limondis (#10, 4-11) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Mahram to move up to 3rd position in the standings. His team's 10-5 record is not bad at all. Jamshidi is a newcomer at Mahram and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.0ppg (#3). He also recorded 3.4 assists per game.

The third best performed player last round was Montenegrin Marko Perovic (204-C-1992, agency: PEPI SPORT) of Foolad Hormozgan Bandar Abbass (#11). Perovic scored 25 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was a key player of Foolad, leading his team to a 79-76 win against slightly higher-ranked Rafsanjan (#9, 5-10). Perovic has a very solid season. In 14 games in Iran he scored 15.5ppg. He also has 5.7rpg and a FGP of 56.3%.
