Stevens' 34-point game gives him Player of the Week award

29-year old American point guard Jordan Stevens (182-PG-1994) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Tabiat and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
He had the game-high 34 points adding three rebounds and eight assists for Tabiat in his team's victory, helping them to crush Kalleh (8-5) with 23-point margin 100-77. Tabiat is placed at 4th position in Iranian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Tabiat will need more victories to improve their 8-5 record. In the team's last game Stevens had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Tabiat's top player in his first season with the team. Midwestern State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Stevens is league's best scorer averaging so far 31.4ppg. Stevens is in league's top in assists (9th best: 3.8apg) and averages solid 59.4% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Arman Zangeneh (202-PF-1993, agency: BIG). He is international forward in his first season at Tabiat. In the last game Zangeneh recorded an impressive double-double of 22 points and 17 rebounds. Of course together with Stevens he helped Tabiat with another comfortable win outscoring Kalleh (8-5) 100-77. This victory allowed Tabiat to move up to 4th position in the standings. His team's 8-5 record is not bad at all. Zangeneh is a newcomer at Tabiat and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Parrish Petty (185-PG-1988) of Mahram Tehran (#3). Petty scored 27 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Despite Petty's great performance the Mahram lost 81-84 to the lower-ranked Averta (#8, 6-7). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Mahram needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 9 victories and 4 lost games. Petty has a great season in Iran. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.3ppg (6th best) and assists with 4.2apg (5th best). He also has 2.3spg, a FGP of 55.1% and 3PT: 41.7%. Petty attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
