Best players of Iranian Superleague round 9 (by Hoops Agents)

Talented International Power forward Matin Aghajanpour (199-PF-2001) had a great game in the last round for Kalleh Mazandaran Amol and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 22-year old power forward had the game-high 39 points adding nine rebounds and two assists for Kalleh in his team's victory, helping them to beat Raad (#11, 1-8) 94-82. Kalleh is placed at 5th position in Iranian Superleague. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Kalleh will need more victories to improve their 5-4 record. In the team's last game Aghajanpour had a remarkable 56.3% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 9 attempts. It's his second year at Kalleh and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Aghajanpour has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 22.4ppg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American point guard Jordan Stevens (182-PG-1994) of Tabiat. Stevens impressed basketball fans with 42 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Tabiat was edged by slightly higher-ranked Zob Ahan (#1, 9-1) 80-79. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Tabiat still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 6-3 record is not bad at all. Stevens is a newcomer at Tabiat and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 32.4ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 4.4rpg and 3.6apg.

The third best performed player last round was Nigerian O.D. Anosike (203-F/C-1991) of Mahram Tehran (#4). Anosike scored 23 points and grabbed eighteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Mahram, leading his team to a 98-89 win against Naft Abadan (5-4). Mahram needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 4 lost games. Anosike has a great season in Iran. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.9rpg (3rd best).
