Iran headed to Division B Semifinals of the Asia Cup 2023. They overcame Kazakhstan 54-41 in the quarterfinal game. Iran grabbed a 20-12 lead and added a narrow 8-7 rally in the second frame. Kazakhstan tried to recover with a 15-14 run in the third quarter, however Iran closed the game with a final 12-7 run.
Negin Rasoulipour (176-SF-2000) top-scored for the winners with 16 points and Faezeh Shahriari (175-SG-1994) added 14. Anna Bezgodova (192-C-1992) replied with 15 points in the losing effort and Tamara Kuzmina-Yagodkina (182-F-1990) poured in 11.
