Superleague Round 16: No surprise as #1 Gorgan defeats Kerman

Superleague top team - Gorgan (14-2) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they beat seventh ranked Kerman (7-9) 94-77. Gorgan have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 14-2 record. Kerman at the other side dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. Gorgan are looking forward to face Sanaye (#9) in Bandar Abbass in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kerman will play at home against Azarshahr and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
The game in Mashhad was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Naft Abadan (10-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Parsa (7-8). Naft Abadan managed to secure a 4-point victory 74-70. Naft Abadan have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 10-5 record. Parsa at the other side dropped to the seventh place with eight games lost. Naft Abadan will play against bottom-ranked Raad (#12) in Mashhad in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Parsa will play on the road against Mahram (#5) in Tehran and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Third ranked Zob Ahan (12-4) crushed at home 9th ranked Sanaye (6-8) by 28 points 90-62, which is the biggest margin this round on Monday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sanaye. Zob Ahan have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Kalleh. Loser Sanaye keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. Zob Ahan will meet Arak (#6) on the road in the next round. Sanaye will play against the league's leader Gorgan and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 16: Arak won against Rafsanjan on the opponent's court 62-57. Bottom-ranked Raad unfortunately lost to Kalleh in a home game 75-82. Mahram managed to beat Azarshahr on the road 80-71.

Parsa - Naft Abadan 70-74

They keep the tenth position with 12 games lost. Arak will meet at home higher ranked Zob Ahan (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Rafsanjan will play against the league's second-placed Kalleh (#2) in Amol and hope to secure a win.

Raad - Kalleh 75-82

Very predictable result in Mashhad where second ranked Kalleh (12-4) defeated bottom-ranked Raad (2-14) 82-75 on Monday. Newly promoted Kalleh maintains second position with 12-4 record having just two points less than leader Gorgan, which they share with Zob Ahan. Raad lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 14 games lost. Kalleh will meet at home Rafsanjan (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Raad will play against Naft Abadan and hope to secure a win.

Gorgan - Kerman 94-77
