Superleague Round 9: Rafsanjan tries to escape the last position defeating Parsa

There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in Superleague. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Bottom-ranked Rafsanjan managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of four consecutive losses on Monday night. This time they won against fifth-ranked Parsa 70-61. Rafsanjan (2-7) moved-up to eleventh place. Parsa at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Zob Ahan and Kerman. Rafsanjan are looking forward to face higher ranked Zob Ahan (#4) in Esfahan in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Parsa will play at home against Sanaye and is hoping to win this game.
Superleague top team - Gorgan (8-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat sixth ranked Naft Abadan (4-4) 91-78. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Naft Abadan. Gorgan have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 8-1 record. Naft Abadan at the other side dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. Gorgan will play against bottom-ranked Raad (#12) in Mashhad in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Naft Abadan will play on the road against Azarshahr (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Arak was also quite interesting. Third ranked Mahram (6-2) played at the court of 8th ranked Arak (3-5). Mahram defeated Arak 98-83 on Monday. Mahram maintains third place with 6-2 record having just three points less than leader Gorgan. Arak lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Mahram will meet at home league's second-placed Kalleh in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Arak will play against Kerman (#5) and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 9: Azarshahr was destroyed by Kalleh on the opponent's court 94-56. Raad unfortunately lost to Zob Ahan in a home game 88-99. Kerman was rolled over Sanaye on the road 66-85.



Kalleh - Azarshahr 94-56

Very expected game in Amol where 10th ranked Azarshahr (2-6) was crushed by second ranked Kalleh (7-2) 94-56 on Monday. Newly promoted Kalleh maintains second place with 7-2 record behind leader Gorgan. Azarshahr at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the tenth position with six games lost. Kalleh will meet Mahram (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Azarshahr will play against Naft Abadan (#7) and hope to secure a win.

Rather predictable result in Mashhad where seventh ranked Zob Ahan (5-4) defeated bottom-ranked Raad (1-8) 99-88 on Monday. Zob Ahan moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Parsa and Kerman. Loser Raad dropped to the bottom position with eight games lost. Zob Ahan will meet at home Rafsanjan (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Raad will play against the league's leader Gorgan and hope to win that game.

Naft Abadan - Gorgan 78-91

Sanaye will meet higher ranked Parsa (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kerman will play against Arak and hope to secure a win.
