Morteza Taheri
25-year old guard Morteza Taheri (189-G-1996) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Parsa and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11 (Second Stage).
He had the game-high 20 points adding six rebounds and three assists for Parsa in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Khouzestan (#4, 3-17) with 43-point margin 89-46. Parsa is placed at 2nd position in Iranian league. Parsa is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 9th lost game this season out of 20 games. In the team's last game Taheri had a remarkable 87.5% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Parsa, through which he has constantly improved. Morteza Taheri averages this season 8.3ppg and 6.8rpg.
Second best performed player last round was Arsalan Kazemi (200-SF-1990, agency: BIG) of Group F top-ranked Zob Ahan. He is international in his first (recently joined) season at Zob Ahan. In the last game Kazemi recorded impressive double-double of 15 points and 16 rebounds. Of course he led Zob Ahan to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Foolad (#2, 8-12) 84-61. Of course Zob Ahan still keep Group F's top spot. His team belongs to top of the standings with 18-2 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Kazemi is one of the most experienced players at Zob Ahan and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to center Kyrylo Fesenko (215-C-1986, agency: BIG) of Sanaye (#4). Fesenko scored 18 points and grabbed twenty one rebounds (!!!). Despite Fesenko's great performance Sanaye lost 84-86 to #3 ranked Naft Abadan. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Sanaye can only dream about fighting for top spots in Group F. They have rather bad season and 5-15 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Fesenko has individually a great season in Iran. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 14.6rpg (#1 in league). He also has 1.8bpg and FGP: 62.5%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
