Iranian Superleague round 4 (Second Stage) best performance: Brian Starr (by Hoops Agents)

American Point guard Brian Starr (190-PG-96) had a great game in the last round for Parsa, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4 (Second Stage).
The 25-year old player was the main contributor (28 points, five rebounds and six assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Mahram (#1, 13-3) 85-83. Parsa maintains the 3rd position in their group in Iranian Superleague. Parsa is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 8th lost game this season out of 16 games. In the team's last game Starr had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Parsa's top player in his first season with the team. Brian Starr averages this season 12.7ppg. Worth to mention Starr played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second best player in last round's games was 26-year old Mohammad Yazdanpanah (201-F-95) of Sanaye. Yazdanpanah had a very good evening with a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds. Third on the list of top players last round was former international forward Arman Zangeneh (202-PF-93, agency: BIG) of Group F top team Zob Ahan. Zangeneh scored 24 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He was a key player of Zob Ahan, leading his team to a 83-75 win against #3 ranked Naft Abadan in a game of the week. Zob Ahan confirms their top position in Group F. Zangeneh has a great season in Iran. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.3rpg (6th best).
