Iranian Superleague round 24 best performance: Kyrylo Fesenko

Ukrainian Center Kyrylo Fesenko (215-C-86, agency: BIG) had a great game in the last round for Sanaye, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 24.
The 35-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 20 rebounds, while his team beat Raad (#5, 4-8) 73-64. Sanaye maintains the 8th position in their group in Iranian Superleague. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 9 games and recorded just two victories. Fesenko turned to be Sanaye's top player in his first season with the team. Kyrylo Fesenko has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 12.5rpg) and averages impressive 2.3bpg and 56.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was Payam Kiani of Foolad. Kiani had a very good evening with 32 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Foolad to another comfortable win 89-72 over slightly lower-ranked Exxon SC (#7, 3-10) being unquestionably team leader. Foolad's 6th position in Group B has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-8 record. Kiani is a newcomer at Foolad, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was former international center Mohammad Yousofvand (207-C-96, agency: BIG) of league's top team Chemidor. Yousofvand scored 14 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Chemidor, leading his team to a 76-66 win against #4 ranked Parsa in a game of the week. Many experts and fans count Chemidor as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 12 victories and only one lost game. They are currently at the very top of the standings in Group B. Yousofvand has a very solid season. In 12 games in Iran he scored 9.2ppg. He also has 5.9rpg, FGP: 67.6% and 3PT: 50.0%.
