Starr's 21 points give him Player of the Week award

25-year old point guard Brian Starr (190-PG-96) had a great game in the last round for Parsa and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
He had the game-high 21 points adding five rebounds and three assists for Parsa in his team's victory, helping them to beat Rafsanjan (#3, 4-2) 78-73. Parsa maintains the 5th position in their group in Iranian league. Parsa is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-4 record. In the team's last game Starr had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Brian Starr averages this season 10.3ppg. Worth to mention Starr played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Darington Hobson (201-G/F-87) of Khouzestan. He is American swingman in his first season at Khouzestan. In the last game Hobson recorded impressive double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Khouzestan lost that game 68-76 to the higher-ranked Kouchin (#4, 5-3). Khouzestan managed to keep the same 7th spot in Group A. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Khouzestan managed to get this year. Hobson is a newcomer at Khouzestan and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.0ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 10.0rpg and 6.3apg.

Third place about best performers goes to another Khouzestan's star - Noarma Baru. Baru scored 11 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Despite Baru's great performance Khouzestan lost 68-76 to the higher-ranked Kouchin (#4, 5-3). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. Khouzestan can only dream about fighting for top spots in Group A. They have rather bad season and 2-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Baru has individually a great season in Iran. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.3rpg (3rd best).
