Superleague Round 14: Rafsanjan lose to Parsa

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most important game in the last round took place in Mashhad between third ranked Rafsanjan (4-2) and fifth ranked Parsa (3-4) on Tuesday night. Rafsanjan was defeated by Parsa in a tough game on the road 73-78. The former international forward Navid Khajezadeh (196-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 8 rebounds. American point guard Brian Starr (190-96, college: Towson) contributed with 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Majid Rahimian replied with 17 points and 7 rebounds for Rafsanjan. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Parsa maintains fifth position with 3-4 record. Rafsanjan at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. Parsa are again looking forward to face higher ranked Rafsanjan (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Rafsanjan will have a break next round.
The game in Ahvaz was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Kouchin (5-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Khouzestan (2-5). Kouchin managed to secure a 8-point victory 76-68. The former international Matin Aghajanpour (199-1) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Mohammadhadi Lakzaifard chipped in 15 points and 8 assists during the contest. American swingman Darington Hobson (201-87, college: N.Mexico) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Kouchin moved-up to third place, which they share with Zob Ahan and Kerman. Khouzestan lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with Foolad and Exxon SC. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
