Salmani's 30-point game gives him Player of the Week award

31-year old guard Emad Salmani (188-G-90) had a great game in the last round for Foolad and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
He had the game-high 30 points adding eight rebounds for Foolad in his team's victory, helping them to beat Parsa (#8, 1-4) 72-67. Foolad maintains the 3rd position in their group in Iranian league. Foolad is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-3 record. Salmani turned to be Foolad's top player in his first season with the team. Salmani has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 19.4ppg).

Second best performed player last round was Salar Monji (203-C-97, agency: BIG) of top-ranked Chemidor. He is former international center in his first season at Chemidor. In the last game Monji recorded impressive 11 points and 7 rebounds. Of course he led Chemidor to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Exxon SC (#5, 2-4) 84-50. Of course Chemidor still keep Group B's top spot. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 5 games without any defeat. Monji is a newcomer at Chemidor and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third place about best performers goes to another Chemidor's star - guard Mohammadsina Vahedi (185-PG-01). Vahedi scored 11 points and passed four assists. He was another key player of Chemidor, helping his team with a 84-50 easy win against the lower-ranked Exxon SC (#5, 2-4). Chemidor started extremely well this year. They recorded 5 victories without losing a single game in Group B. Vahedi turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Vahedi has a very solid season. In 5 games in Iran he scored 10.2ppg.
