Best players of Iranian Superleague round 8

Experienced Former international Arsalan Kazemi (200-SF-90, agency: BIG) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Zob Ahan and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 31-year old had a double-double of 25 points and twenty two rebounds, while his team edged out Sirjan (#4, 3-2) 101-99. Zob Ahan is placed at 2nd position in Iranian Superleague. They are still close to the very top. Zob Ahan would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 4-1 record. Kazemi turned to be Zob Ahan's top player in his first season with the team. University of Oregon graduate has very impressive stats this year. Kazemi is in league's top in points (5th best: 19.6ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 13.2rpg) and averages solid 3.2spg and 67.9% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 26-year old American guard Isaiah Williams (188-G-95, agency: BIG) of Kerman. Williams impressed basketball fans with 39 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course Kerman cruised to a 98-87 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Naft Abadan (#7, 1-4). This victory allowed Kerman to move up to 3rd position in Group A. His team's 4-2 record is not bad at all. Williams is a newcomer at Kerman and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.3ppg (#1). He also recorded 3.5 assists per game. Georgia State University alumni Williams played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

The third best performed player last round was Montenegrin Nikola Dragovic (206-F-87, agency: BeoBasket) of Sirjan (#4). Dragovic scored 27 points and grabbed sixteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Dragovic's great performance Sirjan lost 99-101 to #2 ranked Zob Ahan. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Dragovic has a great season in Iran. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.3ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 9.7rpg (7th best).

7. Perry Petty (185-PG-88) of Gorgan - 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Sajjad Mashayekhi (180-PG-94) of Zob Ahan - 28 points and 9 assists
9. Khashayar Ali-Akbari) of Niroo Zamini - 18 points and 6 rebounds
10. Rasoul Mozafari (188-SG-94) of Gorgan - 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists
