Iranian Superleague round 4 best performance: Isaiah Williams

American Guard Isaiah Williams (188-G-95, agency: BIG) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Kerman, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 26-year old player was the main contributor (34 points, three rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Niroo Zamini (#8, 0-4) with 30-point margin 82-52. It allowed Kerman to take over top position in the Iranian Superleague. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Kerman has a very solid 3-1 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Williams had a remarkable seven three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He turned to be Kerman's top player in his first season with the team. Former Georgia State University star has very solid stats this year. Williams is in league's top in points (3rd best: 20.5ppg) and assists (9th best: 3.3apg). Worth to mention Williams played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second best player in last round's games was 31-year old former international Arsalan Kazemi (200-SF-90, agency: BIG) of Zob Ahan. Kazemi had a very good evening with a double-double of 22 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Zob Ahan lost that game 84-90 to slightly higher-ranked Gorgan (#2, 3-1). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group A. Zob Ahan still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 2-1 record is not bad at all. Kazemi is a newcomer at Zob Ahan, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.3ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 12.7rpg and 4.3apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Russian guard Anton Ponkrashov (200-G-86) of Sirjan (#3). Ponkrashov got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds and four assists. He was a key player of Sirjan, leading his team to a 88-82 win against slightly lower-ranked Kouchin (#5, 1-2). Ponkrashov has a great season in Iran. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.7ppg (5th best) and assists with 3.7apg (6th best).
