Newly promoted Nazm Avaran Sirjan (Superleague) landed experienced 35-year old Russian ex-international 200cm guard Anton Ponkrashov. Ponkrashov played most recently at BC Khimki Moscow Region in Russian Superleague 1. In 9 Euroleague games he averaged 2.4ppg, 2.0rpg and 2.0apg last season. He also played 14 games in VTB United League where he had 5.2ppg, 3.0rpg and 3.1apg.
He was also a member of Russian international program for some years. Ponkrashov played for Russian Senior National Team between 2005 and 2015 and previously for all youth categories.
Ponkrashov has played also professionally for other Russian teams like CSKA Moscow, Spartak Sankt Petersburg, Krasnie Krilya, Unics and Lokomotiv.
