Mahram Tehran (Superleague) signed 31-year old international power forward Mohammad Hassanzadeh (203cm-101kg) for upcoming 2021-22 season. Hassanzadeh played last season at Naft Abadan. In 23 Superleague games he was league's third best scorer with impressive 16.5ppg and averaged 10.1rpg (#2 in the league), 1.5apg and 1.7spg. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. They also advanced to the league semifinals. 2020-21 was a great season as he was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Iranian Superleague Domestic Player of the Year, Center of the Year and named to 1st Team.
The previous (19-20) season he played at Petrochimi where in 18 Superleague games he had 12.4ppg, 8.6rpg, 1.4apg and 1.2spg. Hassanzadeh contributed to his team ending the regular season as at the second position in the league.
He has been also a member of Iranian international program for some years. Hassanzadeh has regularly played for Iranian senior team since 2010 and previously for U19 National Team back in 2009.
He represented Iran at the Asian Games in Jakarta (Indonesia) three years ago.
Hassanzadeh has played previously for four other teams: Saba, Azad, Kashan and Foolad Mahan.
He won Iranian Superleague championship title in 2019.
