Gorgan inks Meisam Mirzaei

Meisam Mirzaei

Shahrdari Gorgan (Superleague) signed 29-year old international center Meisam Mirzaei (210cm) for upcoming 2021-22 season. Mirzaei played last season at Mahram. In 21 Superleague games he had 6.1ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.1apg. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. Good year as he was named League Player of the Week.
The previous (19-20) season he played at Petrochimi where in 17 Superleague games he recorded 6.7ppg and 5.9rpg. He contributed to his team ending the regular season as at the second position in the league.
Mirzaei has been also a member of Iranian international program for some years. He has regularly played for Iranian senior team since 2014 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2010.
He represented Iran at the Asian Games in Jakarta (Indonesia) three years ago.
Mirzaei has played previously for two other teams: Azad and Naft Abadan.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Mirzaei's team won FIBA Asia Champions Cup in 2018. He was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-WABA Champions Cup 2nd Team in 2019.
