Iranian Superleague round 26 best performance: Corin Henry (by Interperformances)

American Point guard Corin Henry (181-PG-88, agency: BIG) had an amazing evening in the last round for Exxon SC, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 26.
The 32-year old player got a double-double of 29 points and 11 assists, while his team edged out Qazvin (#6, 5-8) 90-88. Exxon SC maintains the 3rd position in their group in Iranian Superleague. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Exxon SC will need more victories to improve their 8-5 record. In the team's last game Henry had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He turned to be Exxon SC's top player in his first season with the team. Former Tarleton State University star has very solid stats this year. Henry is in league's top in points (7th best: 16.6ppg), assists (2nd best: 5.9apg) and averages impressive 2.3spg.

The second best player in last round's games was 27-year old former international forward Amir Sedighi (203-F-93, agency: BIG) of league's second-best Naft Abadan. Sedighi had a very good evening with a double-double of 27 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Naft Abadan lost that game 67-89 to Group A's leader Gorgan (#1, 14-0). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group A. Naft Abadan still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 10-4 record is not bad at all. Sedighi is a newcomer at Naft Abadan and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third on the list of top players last round was international Mohammad Jamshidi (199-SF-91) of league's top team Gorgan. Jamshidi scored 25 points and grabbed six rebounds. He was a key player of Gorgan, leading his team to a 89-67 easy win against #2 ranked Naft Abadan. Gorgan have amazing season winning all 14 games without a single defeat in Group A. Jamshidi turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Jamshidi has a great season in Iran. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.0ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 5.1rpg (9th best) and assists with 6.1apg (best passer). He also has FGP: 55.1% and 3PT: 41.0%.
