Ali Doraghi
Ashkan Jafari put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Gorgan and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 22.
He had the game-high 25 points adding five rebounds and three assists for Gorgan in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Raad (#8, 1-12) with 34-point margin 102-68. It allowed Gorgan to consolidate first place in the Iranian league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Gorgan keeps a perfect 13-0 record. In the team's last game Jafari had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Ashkan Jafari averages this season 5.9ppg.
Second best performed player last round was Ali Doraghi (210-C-84) of Khouzestan. He is former international center in his first season at Khouzestan. In the last game Doraghi recorded impressive 9 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists. It was enough for Khouzestan to edge the higher-ranked Qazvin (#4, 5-7) by 2 points 89-87. This victory allowed Khouzestan to move up to 7th position in Group A. 11 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Khouzestan managed to get this year. Doraghi is a newcomer at Khouzestan and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.
Third place about best performers goes to center Waverly Austin (211-C-91) of Qazvin (#4). Austin scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Despite Austin's great performance Qazvin lost 87-89 to the lower-ranked Khouzestan (#7, 2-11). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Qazvin ranking at the top of Group A, however are very questionable as they have already lost 7 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Austin could help Qazvin to bring them higher in the standings. Austin has a very solid season. In 12 games in Iran he scored 12.8ppg. He also has 8.1rpg, 2.1bpg and FGP: 57.9%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
