Iranian Superleague round 8 best performance: Sajjad Pazrofteh (by Hoops Agents)

Former international Forward Sajjad Pazrofteh (205-F-96) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Qazvin, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Khouzestan (#8, 0-6) with 27-point margin 92-65. Qazvin maintains the 3rd position in their group in Iranian Superleague. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Qazvin will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Pazrofteh as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Sajjad Pazrofteh averages this season 7.7ppg, 6.7rpg and 4.2apg.

The second best player in last round's games was another Qazvin's star - 32-year old American Malcolm Grant (185-PG-88). Grant had a very good evening with 40 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course together with Pazrofteh he helped Qazvin with another comfortable win outscoring Khouzestan (#8, 0-6) 92-65. Qazvin's 3rd position in Group A has not changed. His team's 4-2 record is not bad at all. Grant is a newcomer at Qazvin, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.3ppg (#3). He also recorded 3.2 assists per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was international Mohammad Jamshidi (199-SF-91) of league's top team Gorgan. Jamshidi scored 22 points and passed ten assists (!!!). He was a key player of Gorgan, leading his team to a 98-87 win against #3 ranked Qazvin in a game of the week. Gorgan started extremely well this year. They recorded 6 victories without losing a single game in Group A. Jamshidi turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Jamshidi has a great season in Iran. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.0ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 4.6rpg (4th best) and assists with 5.0apg (2nd best).
