Women's Pro League Closing Ceremony Held

The Cup and Medal Award Ceremony which ended the Women's Pro League was held at Azady Basketball Hall in the presence of special guests from Ministry of Sports and Youth, Basketball Federation and teams' staff. During the ceremony, the NF's women's Vice-President, Dr. Farideh Shojaei highlighted the value of basketball for women and the gender equality. Dr. Mahin Farhadizad, the Vice-Minister of Women's Sports Development of Ministry of Sports and Youth stated: 'I appreciate all the basketball and sports officials of the country who provided the conditions for the presence of girls in the international arenas. In addition, my gratitude goes to the female coaches and referees were able to take advantage of such opportunity and provide a proper ground for themselves in the world.' 'I would like to thank the officials of the Women's Basketball Federation, Mrs. Kolahi, the Secretary-General, Dr. Shojaei, the Vice-President, Dr. Tabatabaei, the President and all Board Members who all have hopefully provided the conditions for the the growth and development of women's sports' added the Vice-Minister. Following the ceremony, the best players were rewarded as well. By the end, team leaders of Bahman Group Tehran, Banovan Shahr Gorgan and Namino Isfahan received their cups and medals as the top three teams of the Women's Pro League.
