Zob Ahan signs Devin Sweetney, ex Panionios

Zob Ahan Isfahan (Superleague) signed 33-year old American swingman Devin Sweetney (198-87, college: SFU). He played last season at Panionios in Greek B league. Sweetney managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. In 7 A1 games he had 8.3ppg and 2.9rpg. He also played for Bigua (Uruguayan LUB) in Uruguayan league where in 6 games he recorded very impressive stats: 15.3ppg and 3.5rpg. Sweetney also played 3 games in Liga Americas where he averaged remarkable 17.3ppg, 3.3rpg and 2.0apg.
In 2010 he was drafted by Tulsa 66ers (D-League) as #4 pick overall.
Sweetney attended St. Francis University (PA) and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball.
He is quite experienced player. Sweetney has played in thirteen different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Belgium (Spirou Charleroi and Liege Basket), Canada (Highlanders), France (Aix Maurienne), Iceland, Japan (Akita Happinets), Latvia (Barons Riga), Mexico (Halcones Rojos and Venados), Switzerland (Neuchatel, Lugano and Monthey), Venezuela (Marinos), NBA (Denver Nuggets), Dominican Republic (Huracanes del Atlantico), The Basketball Tournament (HBC Sicklerville) and NBA G League (Capital City Go-Go).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he played in the final of Venezuelan LPB in 2017. Sweetney was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Swiss LNA 3rd Team back in 2014.
