Superleague Round 9: Naft Abadan beats Shahrdari Gorgan in the most crucial game of the week - Jan 10, 2019

Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Abadan. Third ranked Naft Abadan faced 4th placed Shahrdari Gorgan. Host Naft Abadan (6-2) defeated guests from Gorgan (4-4) 89-79. Naft Abadan maintains third place with 6-2 record having just two points less than leader Petrochimi. Shahrdari Gorgan lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Army and Zob Ahan.
Bottom-ranked Raad (0-8) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 77-73 loss to fifth ranked Army (4-4) in Tehran. Army have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Gorgan and Zob Ahan. Newly promoted Raad still closes the standings with eight games lost.
The game in supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Chemidor (7-1) played at the court of 7th ranked Mashad (2-6). Chemidor smashed Mashad 79-57 on Wednesday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mashad. Chemidor have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Newly promoted Chemidor maintains second place with 7-1 record behind leader Petrochimi. Mashad at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventh position with six games lost.
The game in was also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked Zob Ahan (4-4) played at the court of 8th ranked Pegah Tehran (1-7). Zob Ahan defeated Pegah Tehran 77-63. Zob Ahan moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Army and Gorgan. Pegah Tehran lost their sixth game in a row. Pegah Tehran at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eighth position with seven games lost.



Mashad - Chemidor 57-79

The game in supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Chemidor (7-1) played at the court of 7th ranked Mashad (2-6). Chemidor smashed Mashad 79-57 on Wednesday. Superleague Round 10: Derby game ends with Chemidor's defeat of Army - 3 days ago
Here is the last round review presented by ESL. The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tehran: Chemidor (#2) and Army (#6). Army was smashed at home by 38 points 53-91 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Army. Zob Ahan inks Reza Ranjbar - 9 days ago
Zob Ahan Isfahan (Superleague) signed ex-international Reza Ranjbar. He begin 2018-19 season at Army team , now after one and half season in army team and finishing his military service he decided to join Zob Ahan for rest of the season. The previous (16-17) season Ranjbar played at Shiraz a.s Pipe where in 17 Superleague games he had 11.6ppg, 7.5rpg, 1.1apg and 1.1bpg. He was a member of Iranian Senior National Team back in 2014.
