Superleague Round 2: Pegah Tehran loses to Chemidor - Nov 8, 2018

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in Superleague. What a coincidence that all visitors won their games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Pegah Tehran (1-1) at the home court on Thursday night. Hosts were rolled over by Chemidor (2-0) 94-60. Chemidor is looking forward to face Raad (#12) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Pegah Tehran will play against Petrochimi (#2) in Bandar Imam and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
Important game to mention about took place in . Shahrdari Gorgan (1-0) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging Mashad (0-2) 64-62 on Thursday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Shahrdari Gorgan will play against Army (#10) in Tehran in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mashad will play on the road against Naft Abadan to get more than just one victory in their record.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Tehran. Local Army (0-2) was outscored by Petrochimi (2-0) 82-46 on Thursday night. Petrochimi will meet at home Pegah Tehran (#5) in the next round. Army will play against Shahrdari Gorgan (#3) and hope to win that game.

In the last game of round 2 bottom-ranked Zob Ahan crushed Raad in Esfahan 73-46.



Pegah Tehran - Chemidor 60-94

Army - Petrochimi 46-82

Palayesh Naft Abadan defeated Shahrdari Gorgan in Game 4 and won the title of the Iran Basketball Super League in Abadan on Thursday. Naft narrowly defeated Gorgan 58-55 to win their first-ever title. Saeid Davarpanah (190-G/F-87, agency: Interperformances) posted 14 points, while Mozaffari added 13 points for the champions.
