Perkins
33-year old guard Doron Perkins (189-G-83) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Naft Abadan and receives a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 2 (Second Stage).
He had a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds, while his team lost the game against the league's best team Arak (#1, 2-0) 61-69. Naft Abadan was forced-out from the top positions in Iranian league. Naft Abadan is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 1st lost game this season out of 2 games. In the team's last game Perkins had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Naft Abadan's top player in his first season with the team. Santa Clara University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Perkins is in league's top in assists (5th best: 3.6apg) and averages solid 2.8spg and 52.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Daequan Cook (195-G-87) of Chemidor. He is American guard in his first season at Chemidor. In the last game Cook recorded impressive 36 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. It was enough for Chemidor to edge Gorgan (0-1) by 2 points 76-74. The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Cook is a newcomer at Chemidor and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.7ppg (#1). He also registered 5.4 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Chemidor's star - K Riaie. Riaie scored 14 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Chemidor, helping his team with a 76-74 win against #4 ranked Gorgan in a game of the week. Chemidor needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Group 2. Their record at this point is 1 victories and 1 lost games. Riaie has a very solid season. In 20 games in Iran he scored 2.3ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Behnam Yakhchali (196-SG-95) of Petrochimi - 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Adnan Doraghi (190-SG-89) of Azad - 23 points and 8 rebounds
6. Asghar Kardoust (212-C-86) of Arak - 14 points and 12 rebounds
7. Mahdi Moradinasab (202-C-92) of Gorgan - 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Quinton Hosley (201-F-84) of Arak - 20 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Oshin Sahakian (200-PF-86) of Petrochimi - 7 points and 10 rebounds
10. Farhad Sabouri (204-PF-91) of Azad - 10 points and 6 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
