 Gorgan earn third consecutive Superleague title-May 25, 2023
Gorgan clinched the third straight Superleague title. They overcame Kalleh 81-79 on the road tonight to complete the sweep of the championship series. Gorgan trailed by three points after ten minutes. But they sank 26 points in the second period to gain a 2-point halftime lead. Gorgan dropped 20 points in the third quarter to take a 10-point advantage at the final intermission. Kalleh pulled within striking distance late in regulation but Gorgan held on to snatch a decisive victory at the end. Perry Parrish Petty (185-PG-1988, college: UTRGV) came up with 35 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Sajjad Pazrofteh (205-F-1996) added 17 points in the victory. Meisam Mizraei replied with 17 points, while Matin Aghajanpoor chipped in 16 points in the loss.
