There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in IBL. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Pelita Jaya (16-2) in Jakarta on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by sixth ranked Kesatria (9-9) 84-71. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Pelita Jaya. American players dominated the game. Kentrell Barkley (194-1996, college: ECU, agency: Haylett Sports) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Rayvonte Rice (193-1992, college: Illinois) contributed with 24 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Perrin Buford (198-1994, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists for Pelita Jaya. Kesatria maintains sixth place with 9-9 record. Pelita Jaya at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Important game to mention about took place in Pontianak. Second ranked Satria Muda (15-3) saved a 2-point derby victory on the road edging 3rd placed Borneo (14-5) 93-91 in the game for the second place. American players dominated also this game. Forward Jalen Jones (202-1993, college: Texas A&M, agency: Haylett Sports) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners and Niven Glover chipped in 25 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Guard Stephaun Branch (196-1995, college: UWG) responded with 31 points and 6 rebounds. Satria Muda have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 15-3 record behind leader Pelita Jaya. Borneo at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. Darnell Cowart came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists for Tangerang in the defeat. Tangerang's coach Antonius Endratmo rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kesatria maintains sixth place with 9-9 record. Loser Tangerang keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. There were no big surprises in other games of round 17: Pelita Jaya smashed Satya Wacana on the road 68-46. Pacific Caesar lost to RANS PIK on its own court 77-92. Borneo managed to outperform Tangerang in Pontianak 91-87. Pacific Caesar was rolled over Hangtuah at home 84-108. Dewa United defeated Satria Muda on the opponent's court 94-79.
The most impressive performance of 17th round was 32 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists by DJ Cooper of Dewa United.



Tangerang - Kesatria 98-100

A very close game took place in between Kesatria and Tangerang. Sixth ranked Kesatria (9-9) got a very close victory on the road over 5th ranked Tangerang (10-8). Kesatria managed to escape with a 2-point win 100-98 on Wednesday evening. Kesatria made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American Kentrell Barkley (194-1996, college: ECU, agency: Haylett Sports) nailed a double-double by scoring 29 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import center CJ Gettys (213-1994, college: Rutgers, agency: Haylett Sports) accounted for 23 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Darnell Cowart (203-1998, college: Murray St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists and Haitian forward Jeantal Cylla (201-1996, college: Arkansas) added 28 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) respectively for Tangerang in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tangerang's coach Antonius Endratmo rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. RANS PIK outrebounded Pacific Caesar 43-24 including 28 on the defensive glass. RANS PIK looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American-Mexican forward Aaron Fuller (198-1989, college: USC, agency: Haylett Sports) nailed a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 15 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and American forward KJ Buffen (201-2000, college: UAB) accounted for 26 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals. American-Dominican forward AJ Bramah (201-1999, college: Nevada) came up with 36 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Xavier Cannefax (184-1989, college: WPU, agency: Interperformances) added 17 points and 5 assists respectively for Pacific Caesar in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. RANS PIK maintains eighth place with 7-12 record. Rather predictable result when third ranked Borneo (14-5) won against on the road 5th ranked Tangerang (10-8) 91-87 on Saturday. Borneo looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Borneo made 7 blocks. American forward Travin Thibodeaux (203-1996, college: New Orleans) nailed a double-double by scoring 32 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import power forward Kaleb Wesson (208-1999, college: Ohio St.) accounted for 21 points and 10 rebounds. Haitian forward Jeantal Cylla (201-1996, college: Arkansas) came up with 31 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Darnell Cowart (203-1998, college: Murray St.) added 21 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Tangerang in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Borneo maintains third place with 14-5 record having just one point less than leader Pelita Jaya. Loser Tangerang keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Borneo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tangerang will play against Dewa United (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
