Chris McCullough (ex Pelita Jaya) joins Al Ahly Tripoli

Defending champion Al Ahly Tripoli (D1) agreed terms with 30-year old American (has also Filipino passport) forward Chris McCullough (208cm-102kg-1995, college: Syracuse). He played this summer at Pelita Jaya in Indonesian IBL league. In 8 Basketball Champions League Asia games just recently he had very impressive stats: 18.1ppg, 9.6rpg, 1.6apg and 1.5bpg. He was also named League Player of the Week. McCullough also played for Strong Group Athletics (PBA D-League) in Philippines.
In 2015, he was drafted by the Brooklyn Nets (NBA) in the first round (29th overall). He attended Syracuse University, and it will be his 12th season in pro basketball.
McCullough is a highly experienced player. McCullough's career has taken him to four different continents, where he played in eleven different countries. He has played professionally in China (Loongs), Lithuania (Rytas), Philippines (Beermen), Puerto Rico (Brujos and Gigantes), Taiwan (Dreamers and Kings), NBA (Detroit Pistons, Philadelphia 76ers and Washington Wizards), Bahrain (Al-Ahli), South Korea (Anyang), NBA G League (NAZ Suns, RGV Vipers, College Park SkyHawks, Long Island Nets and Wisconsin Herd) and The Basketball Tournament (Boeheim's Army).
In 2024, his team finished as the regular season runner-up in the Taiwanese PLeague+. He was voted as the Asia-Basket.com All-Taiwanese PLeague+ Forward of the Year in 2024.
