Pelita Jaya lands Jeff Withey, ex Fubon Braves- May 30, 2025
In 2013 he was drafted by Portland Trail Blazers (NBA) in second round (39th overall). The former University of Kansas star is in his 13th (hopefully lucky) season in pro basketball. He represented USA at the Albert Schweitzer International Tournament in Mannheim (Unofficial World Championship U18) seventeen years ago. Withey is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in eight different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian and of course North American leagues. Withey has played previously professionally in Greece (Lavrio), Israel (Hapoel Tel Aviv and Ironi Nes Ziona), Spain (Surne Bilbao), Turkey (Tofas), NBA (New Orleans Pelicans, Dallas Mavericks and Utah Jazz), South Korea (Skygunners and Wonju DB) and NBA Summer League (Washington Wizards). Among many awards Withey's team won South Korean League Regular Season in 2024. He was also selected to Eurobasket.com All-FIBA Europe Cup Center of the Year back in 2020. Withey played also for University of Arizona for one year. Let's have closer look into His outlook: A seven-footer who is active around the basket, especially on the defensive end with a strong shot-blocking presence. Solid post moves with the ability to step out and bury a jumper. Tags : JEFF WITHEY, PELITA JAYA BAKRIE JAKARTA, INDONESIAN BASKETBALL, INDONESIAN TRANSACTIONS |
