Simba Bogor tabs Taylor Johns, ex Frontinos

Taylor Johns

RANS Simba Bogor (IBL) inked 31-year old American 197cm center Taylor Johns (college: UC Riverside). He started the season at Frontinos in Venezuelan SPB league. In 9 games he just recently played he averaged impressive 15.2ppg, 12.3rpg, 2.8apg and 1.2spg.
He is a very experienced player. Johns has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to ten different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in China (Liaoning Yi Sheng), Finland (Karhubasket and Lahti), Greece (Panionios), Iceland (IR Reykjavik), Israel (Hapoel Migdal Haemek), Mexico (Pioneros Los Mochis), Slovakia (Lucenec), Slovenia (Rogaska) and Indonesia (Kesatria Bengawan Solo).
Among many awards his team made it to the Chinese NBL Semifinals in 2023. Johns was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Indonesian IBL Honorable Mention in 2024.
He graduated from University of California Riverside in 2016 and it is his ninth season in pro basketball.
