Indonesian IBL round 3 best performance: Michael Qualls (by Hoops Agents)

American Guard Michael Qualls (197-G-1994) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Borneo Hornbills, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 30-year old player was the main contributor (31 points, nine rebounds and six assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Bali Utd. (#11, 1-3) 87-82. Borneo is placed at 6th position in Indonesian IBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Borneo will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. In the team's last game Qualls had a remarkable 64.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Borneo's top player in his first season with the team. Former The University of Arkansas star has very solid stats this year. Qualls is in league's top in points (3rd best: 24.8ppg) and averages impressive 1.4bpg and 2.4spg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Quintin Dove (197-F-1998) of Rajawali Jakarta. Dove had a very good evening with 40 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Rajawali was edged by Satya Wacana (2-3) 78-74. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Dove is one of the most experienced players at Rajawali and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.7ppg (#1). He also registered 7.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Rajawali's star - American center Dennis Clifford (213-C-1992). Clifford showcased his all-around game by recording 17 points, 16 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. Despite Clifford's great performance the Rajawali Jakarta lost 74-78 to Satya Wacana (#10, 2-3). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. Rajawali can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 4 games. Clifford has individually a great season in Indonesia. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.5rpg (2nd best) and assists with 5.0apg (6th best).
