American-Taiwanese power forward Will Artino (211-1992, college: Creighton) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds for Kesatria BS. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kesatria BS will play next round against Pelita Jaya trying to get back on the winning streak. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Jakarta - Pelita Jaya. Satria Muda will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
Tangerang recorded a loss at the home court. Hosts were edged by Borneo 72-71. American players dominated the game. Forward Brandon McCoy (213-1998, college: UNLV, agency: MSG) had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Michael Qualls chipped in 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Guard Stephaun Branch (196-1995, college: UWG) responded with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Borneo will play against Pacific Caesar in Surabaya in the next round. Tangerang will play on the road against Hangtuah in Jakarta to get more than just one victory in their record.
The game in Surabaya supposed to be also quite interesting. Hangtuah played at the court of Pacific Caesar. Hangtuah smashed Pacific Caesar 89-54 on Saturday. Adonys Henriquez notched 27 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 19 points and 17 rebounds by Alioune Tew did not help to save the game for Pacific Caesar. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hangtuah will meet at home Tangerang in the next round where they are favorite. Pacific Caesar will play against Borneo in Pontianak and hope to win that game.
There were no big surprises in other games of round 2: Satya Wacana beat Bima Perkasa on the road 62-50. Tangerang won against Simba Bogor on its own court 78-70. Borneo unfortunately lost to Dewa United in Surabaya 100-111. Satria Muda rolled over Satya Wacana at home 90-56. Kesatria BS crushed Bima Perkasa on the opponent's court 95-66. Dewa United was beaten by Simba Bogor in a home game 80-82.
The most impressive performance of 2nd round was 38 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds by Aaron Fuller of Simba Bogor.
