Best players of Indonesian IBL round 1 (by Hoops Agents)

Lithuanian Norbertas Giga (208-F/C-1995) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's second-best Prawira Bandung and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 29-year old power forward had a double-double of 32 points and 11 rebounds, while his team edged out Pacific Caesar (#7, 1-1) 82-81. Prawira is placed at 2nd position in Indonesian IBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Prawira will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. In the team's last game Giga had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Prawira, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Jacksonville State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Giga is in league's top in rebounds (8th best: 10.0rpg) and averages solid 75.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American center Kierell Green (203-C-1997) of DNA Bima Perkasa Jogja. Green impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 29 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Bima Perkasa lost that game 67-72 to Prawira (2-1). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Green is one of the most experienced players at Bima Perkasa and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 29.0ppg (#1). He also registered 14.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Will Artino (211-C/F-1992) of top-ranked Kesatria Bengawan Solo. Artino scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Kesatria BS, leading his team to a 80-76 win against Simba Bogor (#8, 1-1). Kesatria BS has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Artino also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Artino has a great season in Indonesia. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.5ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 10.5rpg (6th best).
