The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Simba Bogor in Gor Merpati on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Kesatria BS 80-76. Kesatria BS forced 21 Simba Bogor turnovers. American-Taiwanese power forward Will Artino (211-1992, college: Creighton) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American forward KJ Buffen (201-2000, college: UAB, agency: Diamond Sports) produced 28 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Kesatria BS are looking forward to face Bima Perkasa in Sakti in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Simba Bogor will play on the road against Dewa United in Surabaya and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
Important game to mention about took place in Surabaya. Prawira saved a 1-point victory on the road edging Pacific Caesar 82-81 on Wednesday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian power forward Norbertas Giga (208-1995, college: Jax State) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. DeVaughn Washington contributed with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Puerto Rican-Dominican guard Miguel Miranda (198-2001, college: National Park) answered with 28 points and 6 rebounds for Pacific Caesar. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Prawira will play against Bali Utd. in Denpasar in the next round. Pacific Caesar will play at home against Hangtuah to get more than just one victory in their record.
Very important is a home loss of Bali Utd. against Hangtuah on Wednesday night. Host Bali Utd. was defeated by Hangtuah in Denpasar 77-67. Rakeem Christmas stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. At the losing side Bobby Arthur-Williams responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Hangtuah will meet Pacific Caesar in the next round. Bali Utd. will play against Prawira and hope to win that game.

Other games of round 1 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:

Borneo lost to Kesatria BS in a home game 86-90. Pacific Caesar managed to beat Rajawali on the road 76-62. Bottom-ranked Simba Bogor crushed Satya Wacana on its own court 80-58. Winless Bima Perkasa was beaten by Prawira in Bandung 72-67.

At the losing side American-Malaysian guard John Murry (194-1995, college: Austin Peay, agency: 6th Man Basketball Agency) responded with 22 points and 6 rebounds and American power forward DeVaughn Washington (203-1989, college: Ohio) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Four Prawira players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Satria Muda will meet at home Satya Wacana in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Prawira will play against Bali Utd. in Denpasar and hope to secure a win.

Pelita Jaya shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American forward KJ McDaniels (197-1993, college: Clemson) stepped up and scored 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import power forward James Dickey III (208-1996, college: UNCG) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side international center Lester Prosper (209-1988, college: Old Westbury, agency: YoungGroup Unlimited) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Jordan Adams (194-1994, college: UCLA) scored 26 points and 9 rebounds. Dewa United's coach Pablo Favarel rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Pelita Jaya will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dewa United will play against Simba Bogor and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

American-Taiwanese power forward Will Artino (211-1992, college: Creighton) stepped up and scored 25 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and American forward Travin Thibodeaux (203-1996, college: New Orleans) chipped in 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Kesatria BS's coach Efri Meldi used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American guard Michael Qualls (197-1994, college: Arkansas) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import swingman Devondrick Walker (194-1992, college: A&M-Commerce) scored 22 points.
