The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Simba Bogor in Gor Merpati on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Kesatria BS 80-76. Kesatria BS forced 21 Simba Bogor turnovers. Important game to mention about took place in Surabaya. Prawira saved a 1-point victory on the road edging Pacific Caesar 82-81 on Wednesday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian power forward Norbertas Giga (208-1995, college: Jax State) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. DeVaughn Washington contributed with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Puerto Rican-Dominican guard Miguel Miranda (198-2001, college: National Park) answered with 28 points and 6 rebounds for Pacific Caesar. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Prawira will play against Bali Utd. in Denpasar in the next round. Pacific Caesar will play at home against Hangtuah to get more than just one victory in their record.
Very important is a home loss of Bali Utd. against Hangtuah on Wednesday night. Host Bali Utd. was defeated by Hangtuah in Denpasar 77-67. Rakeem Christmas stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. At the losing side Bobby Arthur-Williams responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Hangtuah will meet Pacific Caesar in the next round. Bali Utd. will play against Prawira and hope to win that game.
