Simba Bogor keeps Van Oostrum for another season

Devon Van Oostrum

RANS Simba Bogor (IBL) re-signed 31-year old British-Dutch ex-international 190cm guard Devon Van Oostrum, agency: Octagon Europe for new season. He is the second import player in the roster as USA Aaron Fuller signed here earlier.
He was a team leader there last season. In 23 IBL games he averaged impressive 15.2ppg, 6.3rpg, 8.7apg and 1.8spg. It was a very successful season in his career as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Indonesian IBL Second Team. The last season he was tested by KB Trepca Mitrovice (Superliga) in Kosovan league. He also played 6 games in Kosovan Superliga where he had 6.5ppg, 2.0rpg and 2.2apg. He helped them to win the Supercup.
Van Oostrum was also a member of the British international program for some years. He played for British Senior National Team between 2011 and 2022 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2013.
Van Oostrum also represented United Kingdom at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers two years ago. During this event he scored an average of 4 points per game and had 2.3 rebounds per game.
He is a very experienced player. Van Oostrum has played also in Croatia (Cibona), Finland (Kouvot), Greece (Koroivos and Arkadikos), Holland (Zwolle), Kosovo, Lithuania (Prienu KKSC), Slovakia (Levice), Spain (Baskonia, Huesca, Caceres, Tarragona and Melilla), United Kingdom (Lions) and North Macedonia (MZT Skopje).
He won Slovakian League championship title in 2023.
