Borneo welcomes back Walker, ex Rockingham F.

Devondrick Walker

Borneo Hornbills (IBL) tabbed 32-year old American 194cm swingman Devondrick Walker (college: A&M-Commerce) for new season. He joins another USA player Brandon McCoy who is already in the roster.
It is actually his comeback to Pontianak as he has played here before. He played last summer at Rockingham Flames in Australian NBL One. In 14 games he averaged impressive 21.8ppg, 1.9rpg, 4.9apg and 1.4spg. Walker also played for Borneo Hornbills earlier that season.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2017.
Walker is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in seven different countries playing on four different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian, Australian and of course North American leagues. Walker has played previously professionally in France (Chorale de Roanne), Italy (Trieste and Brindisi), Latvia (VEF Riga), New Zealand (Hawks), NBA (Philadelphia 76ers) and NBA G League (Austin Spurs, Delaware Blue Coats and Westchester Knicks).
Among many awards his team won Australian NBL1 Regular Season in 2023. He was voted to Australiabasket.com New Zealand NBL All-Imports Team back in 2021.
Walker graduated from Texas A&M University - Commerce in 2014 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.
