Brandon McCoy (ex Brampton) agreed terms with Borneo

Borneo Hornbills (IBL) added to their roster 26-year old American 213cm forward Brandon McCoy (college: UNLV, agency: MSG) for season 2025. He played last summer at Brampton in Canadian CEBL. But in three games he recorded just 0.7ppg and 1.3rpg. He also played for Tijuana Zonkeys (CIBACOPA) in Mexican league.
Three years ago (four years after he left the college) he was drafted by Sioux Falls Skyforce (G-League) in second round (16th overall).
The former University of Nevada - Las Vegas star is in his eighth season in pro basketball.
McCoy represented USA at the World Cup U19 in Cairo (Egypt) eight years ago. McCoy's team won Bronze and he had 11 points per game.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America) in seven different countries. McCoy has played previously professionally in Belgium (Oostende), Mexico, Puerto Rico (Criollos), Serbia (Zlatibor), NBA G League (Wisconsin Herd) and NBA Summer League (Miami Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves).
He was voted All-MWC Freshman of the Year back in 2018 at his college time.
