Sichuan ensured the winning start to their Women’s Basketball League Asia campaign. They outscored Surabaya Fever in the opener. Ziting Tang (190-G-2000) scored 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds for the winners.
Sichuan posted a 22-11 lead after ten minutes. The Chinese team extended the lead throughout the second term. Sichuan registered a 42-25 halftime advantage. They ignited a 41-20 second half run to ease to the victory. Xu Han (208-C-1999) posted 12 points for the hosts. Hannah Little (186-F-1994, college: Oakland) and Agustin Gradita tossed in 8 points each for Surabaya.
