American LeBryan Nash (198-1992, college: OK State) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import power forward John Fields (205-1988, college: Tennessee) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Chilean-Spanish center Manny Suarez (208-1993, college: Creighton) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and international point guard Yudha Saputera (176-1998) added 23 points and 6 assists in the effort for Prawira. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Satria Muda's coach Manuel Pena-Garces tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help.

They looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Dewa United made 7 blocks. International center Lester Prosper (209-1988, college: Old Westbury, agency: YoungGroup Unlimited) had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 17 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and Bahamas center Tavario Miller (203-1994, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 25 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Miller is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.
