Taylor Jr.'s double-double lands him Player of the Week award

30-year old American forward Steve Taylor Jr. (206-F-1993) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Borneo Hornbills and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 28.
He had a double-double of 31 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Bima Perkasa (#13, 3-17) 82-76. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Borneo maintains the 10th position in Indonesian league. Borneo is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-14 record. In the team's last game Taylor Jr. had a remarkable 86.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Borneo, being already a very valuable addition to the team. The University of Toledo graduate has very impressive stats this year. Taylor Jr. is in league's top in points (6th best: 22.2ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 13.4rpg), assists (9th best: 4.9apg) and averages solid 64.2% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Michael Qualls (197-G-1994). He is American guard in his first season at Borneo. In the last game Qualls recorded an impressive double-double of 20 points and 18 rebounds. It was enough for Borneo Hornbills to edge the lower-ranked Bima Perkasa (#13, 3-17) by 6 points 82-76. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Borneo keeps 10th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-14 record. Qualls is one of the most experienced players at Borneo and similarly like Steve Taylor Jr. has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 27.3ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 8.3rpg and 3.9apg.

Third place about best performers goes to Brandone Francis (194-SF-1994) of Prawira Bandung (#4). Francis got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for five assists. He was a key player of Prawira, leading his team to a 99-94 win against #2 ranked Dewa United in a game of the week. Prawira needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 14 victories and 4 lost games. Francis has a great season in Indonesia. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.4ppg (5th best).
